Baltimore was once a manufacturing hub for steel, ships, cars, electronics, chemicals, and other products, and although it has a primarily service-based economy today, evidence of its industrial past can can be seen throughout the city. These include lonely smokestacks that no longer operate, but continue to tower over nearby buildings. Below are photographs of a few of the smokestacks we have come across on our walks.
